Keep The Party Safe partners with college campuses across the state to connect with students and empower them to stay safe while having a good time. Victoria Watson, Assistant Director of Health Promotion & Basic Needs at University of Colorado Denver leads campus initiatives that provide education and harm reduction resources. To mark this week's International Harm Reduction Day, she wrote an article for the CU Denver student newspaper reinforcing that young adults should feel empowered to make their own informed decisions around partying, and with harm reduction tools such as naloxone easily within reach.

Keep The Party Safe partners with students and student groups on college campuses around the state of Colorado to help prevent fentanyl overdoses. Students like Zanayah Shanks at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) are passionate about spreading awareness.

Zanayah recently wrote a guest column for the UCCS student newspaper, The Scribe, sharing her lived experience to bring education to her fellow students. With Spring Break upon us, she placed a special emphasis on ways to Keep The Party Safe and “focus on a time of fun and not of tragedy.” Thank you for sharing your story, Zanayah!

Accessing free naloxone in Denver just got easier thanks to a no-cost vending machine at the Denver Health Hospital Campus!

Unveiled this week at 667 Bannock St., the vending machine provides free naloxone (aka Narcan), medications, and hygiene kits 24 hours a day.

If you aren't carrying naloxone already, consider stopping by the vending machine or ordering it over the counter from online retailers like Amazon or Walgreens.

The vending machine distributes the life-saving drug naloxone, otherwise known as Narcan, free of charge.

A huge shoutout and thank you to for hosting us at Safety Fest this past weekend! Over 1,400 of you came by to learn how to spot an overdose and how to administer Narcan (spoiler alert: it’s not through the mouth).

Providing a judgment-free space to learn and ask questions means everything to us, and we couldn’t do it without these kinds of events and partners like Copper Mountain.
