We have loved working with Lifting Hands International and seeing all of the good they do for refugee families here in Utah. They send us updates of where exactly our donations go to and the most recent update is we have been able to provide groceries, rent, vacuums, a wheelchair accessible shower head, and washer and dryers. It’s humbling to hear their stories and we are lucky to be a small part of their new starts.

“I wanted to share these photos of a beautiful family you helped support (first photo). They recently arrived in Utah from Afghanistan with nothing but the clothes they were wearing and a backpack. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide weeks worth of groceries for them along with everything they needed to furnish their new home.

With the help of a partner organization, we secured housing for them—and your donation covered their first month’s rent. In the meantime, we also helped the husband find a job so that he can support his family.

Starting over in a new country can be incredibly overwhelming, but because of you, this family has had a strong and compassionate start. They are already well on their way to self-reliance, and we are deeply grateful for your role in their journey.”

Mid-Year Recap

We teamed up with Lone Peak Basketball to make sack lunches for young kids at The Road Home Family Center in Midvale.

MAR 2025 🏠
The Road Home opened a new shelter in South Salt Lake called Finch, and we provided essential baby gear and household items to help families settle in.

APR 2025 💙
Supported the I Love You Bro + Mental Health Matters 10K Event as a sponsor. Raising awareness for men’s mental health and su***de prevention.

MAY 2025 👶🏽
We helped refugee moms through Lifting Hands Int’l by providing baby formula, prenatal vitamins, pack n plays, and other essentials.
Also helped a newly resettled family get into safe housing.

JUN 2025 🚓🎒🏈
We donated to the ‘Cops & Kids’ Back-to-School event, helping local kids shop for clothes, shoes, and school supplies.
We also donated to the ‘Build Power Football & Faith Camp’ for youth put on by Chase Roberts at BYU Football.

It’s been a great year so far and we can’t wait for the rest of it! Thanks to our 5 Star Legacy Supporters for allowing us to do good throughout the world and our community!

We loved donating to Lifting Hands International! They have a maternal health program to support refugee women right here in Utah. Their organization helps them get to doctor appointments, make sure they have food and vitamins and are being well taken care of. They also provide pregnant refugee mothers with prenatal vitamins, baby diapers, a carseat so that the baby can be brought home from the hospital and a pack n play so the baby has a safe place to sleep and formula if needed. They also help family members find jobs.

We are grateful for these opportunities to serve and as the Director of Operations said, “Each item you help provide eases a mother’s anxiety, ensures her baby’s safety, and gives her the dignity of being able to care for her family during an incredibly vulnerable time. These mothers often arrive with nothing, but because of your generosity, they feel supported, and less alone. Your support helps these families as they begin their lives here in safety.”

So far we have been able to help a single pregnant woman from the Dominican Republic who has recently arrived with 2 small children, a husband and pregnant wife who arrived here recently from Afghanistan looking for work and a single mother of 2 from Malaysia who is pregnant.
