GBTA | Michigan is the authoritative voice of Business Travel Management for Michigan. Our resources are dedicated to providing a forum for the constructive exchange of information and ideas among our members. We are committed to enhancing the image of the travel manager and the educational advancement of our members. Founded in 1967, GBTA | Michigan is an organization dedicated to advancing the i

nterests of the corporate travel industry. As the collective voice of this industry for Michigan, we support and represent our core constituents of corporate travel managers and associated travel services by providing the tools, information, and networks required for effective business travel management. Over 100 members enjoy the benefits of GBTA | Michigan, which include:

*Regular meetings to educate travelers on financial and legislative changes
*Assisting the community with their annual Holiday Charity Auction
*Networking events for members including summer outings and the annual holiday event and charity auction

Stephanie brings more than a decade of leadership experience in the Grand Rapids hospitality market, with a career that has included roles as General Manager and Regional Director of Sales.

She recently joined Lodgco Hospitality as Regional Director of Sales, where she oversees a portfolio of ten hotels across multiple states. Stephanie is passionate about developing strong sales leaders and driving success across diverse property types.

In addition to her professional work, Stephanie is highly engaged in her local community, serving on the boards of Experience Grand Rapids and Women in Hospitality Leadership.

We’re excited to have her as part of our chapter—welcome, Stephanie! 🧡

We’re excited to welcome Katie Murphy to GBTA Michigan! 🎉

Katie brings over a decade of experience in the travel industry, with a background spanning both hotel and airline sales. She currently serves as a Senior National Account Manager at Southwest Airlines, supporting corporate clients across Chicago and Michigan.

Based in Chicago, Katie has also been actively involved with GBTA Chicago in leadership roles and is looking forward to getting more engaged with our Michigan chapter.

When she’s not working, she’s enjoying everything Midwest summers have to offer—outdoor adventures, lakefront walks, and discovering new restaurants. ☀️

Jessica serves as Business Transient Area Sales Manager with Azul Hospitality, overseeing the business transient and entertainment segments across a portfolio of boutique and lifestyle hotels in downtown Detroit, including Hotel David Whitney, Autograph Collection, Element Detroit at the Metropolitan, and AC Detroit.

With a strong background in hospitality sales and operations, Jessica is passionate about building meaningful client relationships and creating unique, memorable guest experiences.

Outside of work, you’ll find her traveling, enjoying live music, or diving into DIY projects — a true creative at heart!

We’re excited to have Jessica join the GBTA Michigan community and look forward to the connections and insights she’ll bring! ✨
