💪 Split-Squat Hold Breakdown

This simple at-home strength drill builds stronger, more stable, more confident athletes.

Why we use it at RISE Academy:
✔️ Strengthens quads, glutes, + hips
✔️ Improves knee stability

How to perform it:
1️⃣ Split stance
2️⃣ Drop into a controlled split-squat

This week’s featured drill builds two essentials every athlete needs:
✅ Body control – learning to stop and start efficiently
✅ Explosive power – accelerating out of a change safely

Here’s how to try it at home:
1️⃣ Set two cones or markers 6 feet apart
2️⃣ Shuffle side to side, plant the outside foot
3️⃣ Explode forward out of the cut
4️⃣ Focus on low hips, balanced posture, and smooth transitions
