Highland Music Boosters Every year we support all the music programs in the Highland Central School District in Highland NY! Alumni of the Highland Music Programs are also members.

The purpose of the Highland Music Booster Organization is to enhance the music programs within the Highland Central School District and to achieve excellence in music education. Our purpose is not to replace any program but to aligning with the district goals of academic excellence, emotional growth, leadership, and community activism. Our goals are to promote enrichment opportunities for co

ntinual growth; to raise funds to defray the costs of events such as NYSSMA Majors, competitions, additional performance opportunities, field trips, clinicians, master classes, and residencies; to recognize student progress (awards, recognition events, scholarships based on need or merit); and to promote and support stability and growth in our music programs through advocacy and grant writing opportunities. The members of the Highland Music Booster Organization are parents/guardians of students participating in any Highland music program as well as any person whose interest is to further the purpose of the organization. Although students are not members, they are encouraged to attend meetings. There is no fee for membership.

The Highland Central School District is excited to welcome families, friends, and community members to our upcoming Spring Concerts! Come celebrate the hard work and musical talents of our Huskies as they take the stage for evenings filled with beautiful performances and school pride. 🌸🎶

Concerts will be held in the Highland High School auditorium, which is located at 320 Pancake Hollow Road, on the following dates:

June 1 – Elementary School Spring Concert at 6 PM
June 3 – Middle School Spring Concert at 6 PM
June 4 – High School Spring Concert at 6:30 PM

We look forward to seeing you there and supporting our talented musicians! 🎵

This Saturday (May 16), Highland High School band students Sophia Cascio (clarinet) and Gisella Shaut (string bass) will have the honor of performing with the Woodstock Symphony Orchestra in a concert featuring Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 1.

The Woodstock Symphony Orchestra is one of the Hudson Valley’s premier professional orchestras, bringing together talented musicians from across the region for high-level orchestral performances and educational collaborations. Their concerts regularly showcase major orchestral works and provide meaningful opportunities for young musicians to perform alongside experienced professionals.

Sophia and Gisella's participation in this performance is a wonderful achievement and an exciting opportunity to perform one of the great orchestral masterworks alongside outstanding regional musicians.
