The 2026 Fall Test Weekend is in the books. Congratulations to all of the dogs and their handlers! A lot of work was put into the dogs that tested this past weekend and it showed in the scores. I have a feeling SEMI NAVHDA will show up in force to MO Uplands next year.

THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE JUDGES AND VOLUNTEERS!! The weather was not kind to us on Saturday but the members showed up and worked hard, even as thunder and lightning delayed things, rain soaked everyone and the wind caused a chill. That was by far the longest test day I have ever been a part of. We can’t do this without you, so please know that we appreciate all of the work you generously put in.

We would like to thank everyone that showed up to the inaugural BBQ! Even the storms couldn’t stop the fun!

The Opener is right around the corner but we have one more event in store to end the training season at the Labor Day Picnic.

Our handlers have put in the work all season to get here, the judges have put in the miles, and our volunteers are putting in their time - now it’s time to see it all come together and enjoy the weekend!! 🧡

🥩🍗 Our SEMI NAVHDA BBQ is just around the corner! 🍗🥩

🧡 The Fall Test BBQ a great chance to get together, enjoy some good food, and spend a little time with the people who make our chapter such a great community. This year it’s right on the Highland Rec grounds at Dodge Park #10!

We need a final headcount so we can make sure we have plenty of food for everyone.

🧡 THANK YOU to our community for showing up today at SEMI NAVHDA’s 2026 Sporting Clays Fun Shoot! We hope you all had a fantastic time! 🧡

🌤️ Things were on our side as the weather held out, and nearly 50 participants enjoyed a beautiful morning of sporting clays. Afterward, shooters celebrated (or commiserated) over a delicious taco and nacho bar. 🌮

👏 Because of your generosity, we raised over *$1500* that will go towards the addition of a pavilion at Sod Farm! 👏

🙏 SEMI NAVHDA is so appreciative of everyone who joined us today, and of our members and fellow dog clubs for sharing the event. Thank you to Grand Blanc Sportsman Club for being amazing hosts; to El Potrero for a fantastic lunch; to Kelly Braden and Julie Griswold - Jansen for their help with the raffles; and to Ray for his generous donation. 🙏

If you weren't able to attend our spring Canine First Aid Clinic, here's another opportunity to learn valuable skills for your hunting partner! This local clinic is being hosted by Wilson's Veterinary Hospital. While this isn't a SEMI NAVHDA event, we wanted to pass it along for any members who may be interested.

Only a couple days left to register for a fun shoot on the 28th. Have a great time breaking clays so your dog doesnt side eye you all hunting season and you support PF!

In lieu of a traditional banquet, our chapter is hosting a Sporting Clays Fundraiser this year! This will be a big fundraising event for our future programs like youth hunts, women’s hunts, ladies shooting events, and habitat education.

Another Chukar Championship is in the books!

A little rain (okay, a lot of rain) didn’t stop us from enjoying a full day of dog work and camaraderie. A total of 23 teams competed today, and we had some very close scores.

A HUGE THANK YOU goes to our handlers, our bird planters, our judges, Casey for coordinating, and everyone who participated. You all showed up to play in the rain today, and because of that we raised more than $1000 towards a pavilion at Sod Farm. Thank you for helping us turn this into reality!
