Southeast Michigan Navhda

If anyone isn’t aware, NAVHDA International has upped the per dog test fee from $10 to $25. This is a pretty significant hike. This post I am sharing from Texas NAVHDA I believe has some very good insight. This increase is along side the International membership fees also going up rather substantially.

SEMI NAVHDA rarely breaks even on test weekends, let alone makes any money. It is a constant struggle of fighting rising costs and trying to keep things affordable for our membership. As the Director of Testing for SEMI NAVHDA, I know we will keep doing everything that we can for our members, so keep an eye on your email for announcements once hunting season starts to slow down some.

For now, Good Luck and Good Shooting!

📸 A huge thank you to W.B. Photography for capturing so many incredible moments from the weekend!! These photos are a beautiful reminder of the hard work, teamwork, and memories that make our test weekends so special. Check out his page for galleries from the full weekend, and be sure to give him some love! 🧡

The 2026 Fall Test Weekend is in the books. Congratulations to all of the dogs and their handlers! A lot of work was put into the dogs that tested this past weekend and it showed in the scores. I have a feeling SEMI NAVHDA will show up in force to MO Uplands next year.

THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE JUDGES AND VOLUNTEERS!! The weather was not kind to us on Saturday but the members showed up and worked hard, even as thunder and lightning delayed things, rain soaked everyone and the wind caused a chill. That was by far the longest test day I have ever been a part of. We can’t do this without you, so please know that we appreciate all of the work you generously put in.

We would like to thank everyone that showed up to the inaugural BBQ! Even the storms couldn’t stop the fun!

The Opener is right around the corner but we have one more event in store to end the training season at the Labor Day Picnic.

Good Luck and Good Shooting this Season!

Thank You All,
Dale Bolyard
SEMI NAVHDA Director of Testing

🧡 THANK YOU to our community for showing up today at SEMI NAVHDA’s 2026 Sporting Clays Fun Shoot! We hope you all had a fantastic time! 🧡

🌤️ Things were on our side as the weather held out, and nearly 50 participants enjoyed a beautiful morning of sporting clays. Afterward, shooters celebrated (or commiserated) over a delicious taco and nacho bar. 🌮

👏 Because of your generosity, we raised over *$1500* that will go towards the addition of a pavilion at Sod Farm! 👏

🙏 SEMI NAVHDA is so appreciative of everyone who joined us today, and of our members and fellow dog clubs for sharing the event. Thank you to Grand Blanc Sportsman Club for being amazing hosts; to El Potrero for a fantastic lunch; to Kelly Braden and Julie Griswold - Jansen for their help with the raffles; and to Ray for his generous donation. 🙏

🐾 We are so grateful for your support! 🐾
