Last Saturday Masyn built a chalkboard planter at Home Depot. He is working toward credits for building things for scouts. I was amazed that he needed no help at all. On most projects I have to hold pieces of wood together for him to nail. Home Depot had the kids use wood glue to hold the pieces together while they nailed. We also like how they had paint available for the kids to decorate their finished projects. Masyn built this for his Granny Smith's birthday.

It is such a beautiful day that Nicole and I decided to take the boys down to Spindler Park and earn the badminton belt loop and pin. It was crazy fun. We spent an hour and a half playing. We think this game will be an addition to our camping bucket.

After the great time we had at the Webelos Winter Challenge, our den headed over to the Lewis and Clark Historical museum. The boys spent most of their time trying to "load" the ship that the crew used. There were some great volunteers that gave us several history lessons as well. We will use what we learned for some of our achievements/electives.

The Bears were invited by the Webelos to their Winter Challenge. It was a great day to learn some new skills. It started out cold, but warmed up nicely. The boys got soaking wet, but fun was had by all. They learned knot tying, hunted for arrowheads, threw spears, knives, and tomahawks, chopped wood, learned to start a fire, shot bb guns, branded leather, did archery, and did paint ball sling shots. During lunch they had the "war of 2015" snowball fight. It definitely was an awesome day.

Masyn and Hunter had an awesome time at the Police station last night. They got finger printed, spent some time learning what the dispatcher does (thanks Kayla), toured the whole police station, and sat in the police cars.
