Vendor Spotlight: Dowd Glass Studio

Chelsea Dowd, with Dowd Glass Studio, creates beads by hand by melting glass over a torch, a process called lampworking. She then uses the beads to create unique jewelry, ornaments, suncatchers, and miniature fairy gardens.

Handmade Highland is one of our projects! Save the date: October 3rd 9-3pm at Zandstra's Farm and Greenhouse!

Dawn and Mary met today to tie up some loose ends for the Handmade Highland artisan market, that’ll be next month. We are slightly behind on our plans due to the recovery and clean up from the Aug. 11th storm. We know the majority of folks in the region are experiencing delays as well. Because of this we decided to keep the applications open for a couple more weeks. Spaces are limited so if you’re interested get those applications in.

We also approved the second wave of makers. If you already applied keep an eye on your email for any notifications.

Join us today for storytelling at Grindhouse from 5-7 pm. No need to sign up; bring your 5-7 minute story on the theme of New Beginnings. As always, this is a welcoming, low-key event. No competition, just sharing stories over great cups of coffee. See you there!

When you're downtown for today's Arts Walk, be sure to check out our latest public art project! Thank you to the kids and families who helped us create these masterpieces!
