When an emergency happens, you cannot simply yell, "Call 911!"

If you do, everyone assumes someone else is making the call, and it often never happens. To get results, you have to point directly at someone and say, "You call 911."

The same principle applies to volunteering. If we all assume someone else will step up to advocate for the foster children in our community, we end up facing a critical shortage of volunteers.

Right now, we have a high demand and are accepting volunteer applications for Sharp, Jackson, Lawrence, and Randolph counties.

Good morning,

It is truly humbling for everyone at Gateway CASA, as well as everyone who represents and supports our incredible program, to see the number of individuals and businesses who continue to stand behind us year after year, as well as those who are choosing to support us for the very first time.

The work we do is necessary. It is demanding, emotionally challenging, and at times exhausting. Every day, we read, listen to, and advocate through story after story of trauma. Yet, through it all, we remain committed to one purpose: ensuring that every child in foster care has a voice.

Our goal is simple: to make sure every child in foster care has someone standing beside them and making sure their voice is heard.
