After an exceedingly long and cold winter, Daylight Savings Time reassures us that light always comes, carrying hope in the promise of a new Spring season--warmer, kinder, and full of new life.
Here at Ascension Holy Trinity Mission Center, with the help of our friends and neighbors, we've made it through a particularly difficult few months of increased need for food, clothing, and personal care items, as well as the need for compassion, connection, and community--hope.
Thanks to our many area partners, AHT Mission Center continues to sustain and expand outreach services to meet the growing needs of our local community. Over the past several months of fall 2025 and winter 2026, a growing number of individuals, families, service organizations and local businesses have invested their time, talent, financial support, and their trust, in our work responding to those needs.
The photos here include just a small sampling of community partners working with the Mission Center, caring for our neighbors.
Pictured are Interact Club and National Honor Society ( Highland Central School District-Thanksgiving Meals Project), Town of Lloyd Police Department (Thanksgiving donations and help with food delivery), Surprise Photography (food and personal care promotional drive), Helping Hands (turkeys and food drive). Davies family (food and personal care drive).
In addition, our deep gratitude to Lowe's Highland and Integrity First Installations for their generous donation of eleven (11) windows at our Holy Trinity Food Pantry. Their "giving back" investment in the community has kept us warmer, safer, and literally provides more light and hope in our space. Lowe's also carried out a a couple well-planned and executed surprise donations in the form of a new freezer and new paint for the Mission Center office.
Further thanks to Porpiglia Electric for donating materials and labor to install new electrical lines at Holy Trinity Food Pantry to accommodate the new freezers.
We also thank our faith-based partners who have not only provided material support, but have also provided the example of strength in diversity and unity of purpose: loving and caring for our neighbors. Those partners include St. Andrews (New Paltz), Christ Church (Marlboro), Bruderhof (Esopus), Reformed Church of Port Ewen, Town of Esopus Methodist Church (Port Ewen), Holy Cross Monastery (West Park), Christian Community Deliverance Center (Modena), Companions of Mary the Apostle (West Park), St. Augustine's (Highland).
There are many other community members, organizations and businesses, too numerous to list, who have contributed to Ascension Holy Trinity Mission Center Outreach. Each and every one is appreciated for their investment in creating a safe space where hope is shared and in helping to grow a community where we all can say, "Come on in. You already belong."
