Highland's Giving Garden

Highland's Giving Garden Highland's Giving Garden is a Community Garden that gives back to the Community. Produce that is grown from our garden goes to those in need.

Produce that is grown from our garden goes to those in need and less fortunate. There are designated raised beds with plots set up to go back to the community 100%. There are also designated raised beds for those that want to grow their own produce for a small fee of $5 a month or $50 a year. These beds could be for those that live in an apartment, or in a situation where they are unable to garden

. There are many reasons why one would choose to want to rent a raised bed. 10% of whatever is grown in those plots will go back to the community. There will be designated plots available in both sections for those that need handicap access and/or plots. The goal and vision of our garden is to "Give" to those in need or less fortunate. Highland's Giving Garden is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the Highland Congregational Church.

Let's show our support and give thanks to the Highland Congregational Church - Highland Ca! This amazing church is the sole reason why we have a community garden in our community in the first place. Let's use this time to show our appreciation and show them support during their Churckwagon Breakfast. 🍳πŸ₯žπŸ₯“

Join us on Sunday, June 7th at the Highland Congregational Church in Highland, CA for our annual Chuck Wagon Breakfast! Tickets are $15 for a very full breakfast. It goes from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.

We love our volunteers! πŸ’š
Thank you Nathan for coming out to the garden today to help us plant plumeria cuttings all while knocking out those community service hours for your school at Options For Youth. We hope the transplant takes root and we can look at the trees with their blooms in years to come. We look forward to planting more trees with you tomorrow and in the days ahead.
See you in the morning!

Everything is slowly starting to come together at the garden, and it’s so exciting to see it all taking shape with our new Vego Garden garden beds! 🌱
Just look at how pretty this pathway turned out, lined with Girl Scout boxes and topped with a fresh load of wood chips generously dropped off by Woody WoodPecker Tree Service.
A huge thank you to the Sevita and Options for All crew for coming out and helping build these beds. We are so incredibly thankful! It truly takes a community of amazing people to help create an amazing garden, and this is only the beginning of what’s to come.
As we transition from our older wood garden beds to Vego Garden beds, it feels like the perfect way to celebrate the garden turning 10 years old this month. πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ’š
