The Unity Event

The Unity Event The Unity Event is the partnership created by Carnegie Arts Center, Highland High School and South Shore Orchestra.

Every year, the partners will produce a large format musical production on stage at the Monbeck Auditorium in Highland, Indiana. This first year, the producing partners have selected Evita - the iconic musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. Professional artists, community members and students from across the entire region of northwest Indiana and greater Chicago are invited to audition for t

his one night only mega-event. The producers are planning on an orchestra of 100 musicians and an ensemble of 200 plus principal performers. This event will be auditioned across Lake and Porter counties and in Chicago as well. The producers are doing this to reach across traditional boundaries of town, school district and county. The producing partners are hoping that all interested individuals can come together in the spirit of unity to display their talent, their abilities and the unity of our communities in this one of a kind gala event.
