Rehearsals resume in less than two weeks! Do you remember where you put your instrument?? Find your music stand as well--we'll need it for our first rehearsal at Lincoln Center. See you soon!!

Has it really been just two months since our last concert? It seems like forever. But the good news is we're about a month away from the resumption of rehearsals!!

Join us at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9 for the beginning of our 37th season! We will meet at Lincoln Center in Highland (not New York) to begin choosing music for our fall concert. Make sure you bring a music stand to this rehearsal

The Highland Community Band is open to all woodwind, brass, and percussion players, aged high school and older. There is no audition or cost to join. Just bring your instrument and a pencil.

Many thanks to all who came to Lincoln Center for our concert last week. Weather permitting--we'll be playing on Tuesday, June 2, at Munster's Centennial Park!! Unfortunately no rain date or rain location (so pray for good weather!).

Please note: the concert begins at 6:30!! And Centennial Park charges for parking (unless you're a Munster resident).

Wishing everyone a wonderful summer and we'll resume rehearsals the Wednesday after Labor Day! Dust off those instruments and be ready to join us!

in 1897, "The Stars and Stripes Forever" had its premiere at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia. In 1987, Congress passed legislation making it the national march of the United States. Tell us about a time you played or heard "The Stars and Stripes Forever!"

(SPOILER ALERT--You can hear it next Wednesday at our concert! Directed by someone who was in "The President's Own" Marine Band!)
