The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health Support research in the field of Sexual Addiction, Sexual Compulsivity and Sexual Offending.

SASH is a global network that unites, empowers and equips sexual and relational health professionals to transform lives—advancing the understanding that sexuality is a vital part of being human and everyone deserves to experience sexual health. The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH) is a nonprofit multidisciplinary organization of professionals dedicated to scholarship, clinical t

raining, and resources for promoting sexual health and overcoming problematic sexual behaviors. While our primary focus is on hypersexuality which is most often described as “sex addiction,” we also seek to provide resources for other problematic sexual behaviors. We strive to provide ongoing research, training, advocacy and support to our members, many of whom are professionals and work with people who suffer from problematic sexual behaviors. We also seek to provide current and scientifically accurate information and education to the general public in the hopes of raising awareness, lowering stigma, and opening doors to treatment, prevention, and hope. SASH GOALS

Promote public and professional access to information and resources about the disorders of Sexual Addiction, Sexual Compulsivity and Sexual Offending. Promote appropriate training and education conducive to prevention, intervention and treatment of Sexual Addiction, Sexual Compulsivity and Sexual Offending. Encourage communication and collaboration among treatment models and available resources. Provide international education opportunities through newsletter, journals, conferences and the media. Discern and respond to the stigmatization of Sexual Addiction, Sexual Compulsivity and Sexual Offending


SASH VISION STATEMENT

SASH envisions a society in which the stigma and ignorance, which currently define the perception of out of control sexual behavior, no longer exists and adequate and effective treatment modalities exist to properly address the issue.
