This Black History Month, we honor the past while confronting the present. Black Americans face 11.5x higher firearm homicide rates than their peers. The disparities are even more devastating for our youth:

⚫ Black children (0-17) are 13.6x more likely to die by firearm homicide than their white peers.

⚫ Black young adults (18-24) face a 19x higher risk—the largest disparity of all.
