QUAD A board member, Dr. Alberto Argüello Cirugía Plástica y Estética will present "Developing Ownership of Operations Within Your Team" on Thursday, October 29, at 3:00 pm EST at the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery - ISAPS 30th World Congress in Cancún, Mexico, from October 27 – 31, at the Cancún Center.

In his presentation, Dr. Argüello will address the gap between the team that completes a task and the team that owns the outcome. A gap that can manifest itself in missed steps, inconsistent processes, and staff who wait for direction, rather than act. At Plastic Surgery The Meeting 2026, QUAD A CEO Tom Terranova connected with the Mission Plasticos team, whose work expands access to reconstructive surgery and provider education across the globe.

Through donated surgical expertise and clinical space, this nonprofit provides pro bono care for patients who face barriers to treatment, including children with birth defects, people with burn injuries, and patients seeking post-mastectomy breast reconstruction.

We are proud of our affiliation with Mission Plásticos and honored that Tom serves on its board of trustees. This work reflects the patient-first purpose at the heart of QUAD A’s mission.

At Becker’s 32nd Annual: The Business and Operations of ASCs Conference at the Swissotel Chicago, October 29 – 31, QUAD A board member Brett Maxfield, MS, CRNA, will join fellow ASC leaders for the panel Anesthesia in ASCs: Concepts for the Next 5 Years on Thursday, October 29, at 9:45 am (CST). Panelists will discuss staffing strategies, care team redesign, compensation models, and technology support. They will also explore how ASCs can maintain coverage, control costs, and protect quality as demand grows, while putting Patients First. Always.

Nearly 50 years ago, leaders from what is now the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) saw that office-based surgery needed independent safety validation. Accreditation by QUAD A grew out of that need.

Today, our programs span every medical specialty and have reached more than 26 countries. Plastic surgery is still at the heart of our work, with nearly 1,100 facilities accredited by QUAD A across 15 countries.

We were glad to be in Houston over the weekend exhibiting at Plastic Surgery The Meeting 2026, continuing our partnership with ASPS and a shared focus on the safest possible care for patients as plastic surgery expands into medical aesthetics and wellness.
