Just one month ago at Music Matters, we experienced one of our favorite performances. On stage, at the Martin Theatre, we saw the impact of kids’ music education in real-time. It’s always a treat to hear the Ravinia Jazz Scholars () perform, and to welcome back an alum of the program, .

We’re still feeling the rhythm and impact of that night—and what it means for kids to experience the joy of music. The Music Matters Benefit raises funds for Reach Teach Play programs, which serve over 20,000 students across the Chicagoland area.

These programs provide underserved children and families with music education and live music performances in their schools, communities, and at Ravinia. Seeing the joy and pride on students’ faces reminds us exactly why Music Matters.

A look back at the infectious excitement during the live auction from the Music Matters benefit 🎼🎶.

Attendees weren’t just raising paddles—they were raising the bar for music education. Every bid brought us closer to providing children and families in underserved schools and communities with more opportunities to experience the joy of music, through Reach Teach Play.

Celebrating the for another successful Music Matters 🎼🎶. This annual event raises funds for Reach Teach Play programs, which serve over 20,000 students in Lake and Cook Counties.

Ravinia continues to open doors to the positive impact of music through Reach Teach Play, providing children and families in underserved schools and communities with live performances and music education programs where they learn and live.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible and helped more students have the opportunity to learn an instrument, pursue music education, and experience the joy of music.
