The High Springs Lions Club Remembers

As we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the High Springs Lions Club invites our community to pause, reflect, and remember a day that profoundly reshaped our nation and the world.

This week, we honor the memory of the 2,977 innocent lives lost and pay tribute to the extraordinary courage of our first responders, military service members, and everyday heroes who answered the call in our country's darkest hour.

Three Sites. One Day. One Nation.

We ask every member of our community to take a moment to honor the fallen, extend our continued support to their families, and reaffirm the spirit of unity, strength, and resilience that brought us together in the aftermath.

9/11: 25 YEARS | NEVER FORGET | REMEMBERING THE LIVES LOST | HONORING OUR HEROES

Share the Warmth: High Springs Lions Club 3rd Annual Children’s Blanket Drive
Bring Comfort and a Smile to a Child in Need
We are starting our Drive a little earlier this year, to help us reach our goal.

As winter approaches and the temperatures drop, the simple gift of a cozy blanket becomes invaluable. For many of us, the season brings joy and festivities. But for children facing hospitalization, illness—including those bravely battling childhood cancer—trauma, or hardship, winter can be a time of intense struggle.

Think of the comfort, warmth, and security your own favorite blanket provides when you are cold, lonely, or unwell. Our goal this year is to collect 300+ new or homemade blankets to gift that exact feeling of safety and love to children in and around our community. When a blanket is given, hearts are healed.

How You Can Help
We know times are tough, but we have unwavering faith in the compassion of our community. There are two meaningful ways you can help us reach our goal:

Donate a Blanket: We are collecting new, unwrapped, or beautifully homemade blankets.

Make a Monetary Donation: If you can't bring a physical blanket, every dollar makes a difference. 100% of monetary donations will go directly toward purchasing blankets to ensure no child is left out in the cold.

Donation Details
Deadline: Friday, December 11th, 2026

Drop-off Location: High Springs Lions Club (Donation Box located under the carport)

Address: 26900 West US Hwy 27, High Springs, Florida 32643

Monetary Donations: To contribute financially, please send a message directly to the High Springs Lions Club page or call the Clubhouse at (386) 454-4521. (If we miss you, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible!)

Every single blanket and every single dollar helps ignite hope in the hearts of children facing harsh realities. Let’s come together to spread the warmth and share the love this holiday season.

Thank you for your generosity and for keeping our community's children wrapped in comfort.
