Today, we will welcome Jane Liebscher, President & CEO of United Way of Greater High Point, for a conversation about ALICE—Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.

ALICE represents the hardworking individuals and families in our community who earn above the federal poverty level but still struggle to afford basic necessities such as housing, childcare, food, transportation, and healthcare.

Jane will share what the latest ALICE data tells us about our own community, the challenges these families face every day, and how United Way and its partners are working to help create greater financial stability for local families.

Good morning from the Kiwanis Club of High Point!

We are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for our 2026 Community Grants! Any 501(c)(3) organization located in High Point with programs focused on helping children is eligible to apply. This is a great opportunity to support agencies making a difference in the lives of young people in our community.

Applications are due by August 28th, and grant recipients will be TENTATIVELY announced on September 18th. Please dm us for application.

Join us tomorrow at 5:00 PM at 605 Davidson Ave. for an evening of planting, growing, and serving together. Just bring your gardening gloves and wear comfortable clothes—everything else will be provided!
