What a special night for Pack 4 as we celebrated our first Arrow of Light Crossing Over Ceremony and our final meeting of the year!

We are so proud of our three Scouts who crossed over to Troop 4. Watching them grow in confidence, leadership, and character has been such a joy, and we know they have an exciting adventure ahead of them in Scouts BSA.

Thank you to all of our families, leaders, and Scouts for an incredible year full of fun, growth, service, and memories. We can’t wait to see what next year brings for Pack 4!

🦅 Does becoming an Eagle Scout truly set you apart? A new study by The Harris Poll surveyed thousands of adults to see how Eagle Scouts compare to those who were never in Scouting.

The study: “𝘌𝘢𝘨𝘭𝘦 𝘚𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘴: 𝘈 𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘤𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘦𝘴-𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦,” shows that Eagle Scouts possess lifelong strengths and a value-based foundation that genuinely sets them apart from their peers.

Dive into the data yourself and see the incredible impact of this research through a new interactive website at scouting.org/about/research/eagle-scout-2026/

A summer activity $

Are you or your unit looking for Scouting activities to do over the summer? Look no further than right here in the heart of Guilford County at the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park where Cub Scouts and Scouts can earn the Guilford Courthouse Historic Trail Award!

The Guilford Courthouse Historic Trail Award (GCHT) is an official program sponsored by the Old North State Council, in cooperation with the National Park Service. Upon completion of the requirements of the Award, the scout is entitled to receive a colorful, embroidered patch. This BSA Program was established following the bicentennial observance of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse in 1981.

There are two activity sheets, one for Scouts and one for Cub Scouts which have been created for to complete this award, those can be found by going to https://onsc.org/guilfordhistorictrail/

After completion, Scouts can come by the Scout Office to purchase their patches. Also note that visiting the park will help satisfy one of the Legacy requirements for those of you who are actively working on your America 250 Patriot's Passport (https://onsc.org/america250/)

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our amazing Cub Scout moms! 💐🐾

Today we celebrate the love, patience, encouragement, and dedication you give each and every day. Thank you for the countless ways you support your Scout’s journey — from helping with adventures and achievements to cheering them on at meetings, attending campouts, pinewood derbies, and community service projects.

Your guidance helps shape confident, kind, and courageous Scouts who are learning important values, building friendships, and creating lifelong memories. Whether you’re volunteering behind the scenes, helping lead activities, sewing on uniform patches, packing snacks, or simply being their biggest supporter, your impact means more than words can say.

Thank you for walking beside your Cub Scout through every adventure and helping them grow one step at a time. Wishing all of our Cub Scouter moms a Mother’s Day filled with love, appreciation, laughter, and special moments with your family. 🌸💙💛

Happy Mother’s Day!

There’s just something special about a room full of families working side by side ❤️

Last night at Cub Scouts, our families came together to build Rain Gutter Regatta boats—and it was about so much more than wood, plastic, sanding, and sharpies. It was parents helping, kids creating, laughter across tables, and connections being made.

Watching everyone interact, encourage each other, and simply enjoy being together reminded me why this program matters so much. It’s not just about the activities—it’s about building community.

These are the moments our kids will remember. And honestly… so will we!

We are excited to participate in the Celebration of our country's 250th birthday! We will hand the passports out at our next Pack meeting

The Old North State is excited to announce the launch Patriots Passport program!

The Patriots Passport is a year-long program which encourages Scouts and Scouters to go out and celebrate America through five areas of concentration:

Legacy & History, Service & Citizenship, Outdoor Stewardship & Adventure, Family & Community and Community Unity.

This challenge is supported by the use of the Patriots Passport which contains a checklist of several requirements which asks Scouts and their family to engage in activities relevent to those areas.

Upon completion, participants will have earned a beautiful commemorative patch issued by the Old North State Council that they can proudly wear on their uniform in celebration of America’s semiquincentennial.

To learn more about this program, the requirements and what you need to do to participate, please go to: https://onsc.org/america250/ There you can learn everything about this program, the patch design and even download and print off your very own passport!

If you are a unit leader and would like to request professionally-printed passports to give to your unit members, please go to this link and fill out the request form: https://forms.gle/6k1qTPohvPHMigbVA and we will make sure they get to you to hand out.

Scouts will have the entire year to work on this program, once it's completed they should have a better understanding and appreciation of our history, communities and their roles as citizens.

Good luck everyone!
