Wings for All is happening September 26th, and we cannot wait to see your families there. This event gives families and individuals with disabilities the chance to practice every step of air travel in a calm, supported environment: getting through the terminal, obtaining a board pass, moving through security, and boarding a plane. It's one less thing to worry about when you're ready to fly and pure magic for anyone traveling with disabilities.

Picture this: Saturday afternoon in High Point our community comes together to celebrate what's possible. Fresh eggs from our own chickens. The Arc of High Point Creative Arts that makes you stop and really look. Real conversations about real jobs in our community. And the voices of our Day Program participants, sharing their stories, their talents, and their selves.

That's our 5th Annual Summer Open House, and you're invited.

Explore our Creative Arts Showcase and Supported Employment Showcase. Take a tour of our gardens and programs. Shop art created by artists from our community. Meet the people making inclusion happen every single day.

✈️ Save the Date! Wings for All returns to PTI on September 26, 2026!

Wings for All is a special program that helps children with disabilities and their families become more comfortable with air travel by practicing the airport experience before taking a trip.

Participants will:
🔹 Check in and receive boarding passes
🔹 Go through TSA security
🔹 Board an aircraft
🔹 Experience the airport in a welcoming, supportive environment

🧡 Registration opens Monday, August 10, at 9:00 a.m.

Participation is limited, and spots fill up quickly. Be sure to follow our partner organizations for registration details and updates:

The Mayor of High Point, Cyril Jefferson, has commissioned a Special Populations Task Force to study resources for people with disabilities as well as gaps in resources. This task force has developed a community survey.

Would you take a moment to complete this survey? It is designed to capture responses from Self-Advocates, Families, Professionals and the general public. We hope the information we collect with guide decisions in our High Point community for this population.

27 years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court issued the landmark Olmstead v. L.C. decision, ruling that unnecessarily segregating people with disabilities is discrimination under the ADA. Thanks to the advocacy of Lois Curtis and Elaine Wilson, the decision affirmed the right of every person to choose where and how they live.
