Zetas of High Point Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Delta Kappa Zeta Chapter

Early in 1950, seven women envisioned greatness for the city of High Point, when they decided to extend the sisterhood of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., into this community. Through their ambition, strong determination, and love for such a great organization, the fruit of their labor was recognized on January 23, 1950, when the DELTA KAPPA ZETA CHAPTER of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated became

a reality. On February 8, 2008, nearly 58 years after it was originally chartered, six women took a bold step forward to re-kindle what our original founding members envisioned years earlier. We, the current members of Delta Kappa Zeta Chapter, are forever grateful to the original “torchbearers” of this chapter, for their wisdom, courage, and visionary insight. More than 102 years after its founding, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., prides itself on being an organization committed to serving our communities, promoting scholarly enrichment, exemplifying Finer Womanhood, and extending sisterly love to all humanity. If you are interested in additional information to reclaim or to become a member, please contact our Membership Chair at [email protected].

During Mental Health Awareness Month, the members of Delta Kappa Zeta proudly donated clothing to Working Wardrobe in High Point, North Carolina. Working Wardrobe is committed to combating clothing insecurity by providing attire that empowers and inspires women and children to live more positive and productive lives. Their mission is to serve as a catalyst for positive community change by promoting the health and welfare of women and children.

People often forget how important clothing is in fulfilling both psychological and social needs. Research has shown that the lack of appropriate attire can contribute to emotional challenges such as lowered self-esteem and depression in both adults and children. Proper clothing can also help individuals make positive first impressions, opening doors personally, academically, and professionally.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support an organization that not only provides clothing, but also restores dignity, confidence, and hope within our community.

Special thank you to our Zeta Closet Committee and Chair, Maria Jordan, for sorting and organizing items for storage and donation. We also extend our appreciation to Joy Bridges for leading the delivery of these much-needed items to support the mission of Working Wardrobe.

Teacher Appreciation Week Recap! 🍎💙

Special shout out to the amazing teachers, staff, and administration at Parkview Village Elementary! We were honored to celebrate all that you do for our community each and every day.

From a Panera breakfast, to Double Good Popcorn, hydration stations, volunteering at Community Day and daily gift card drawings, it was truly a wonderful week of love and appreciation!

A very special thank you to Soror Donna Foster for spearheading this initiative for her peers at Parkview Village Elementary. Your leadership, dedication, and heart for education helped make this week extra special.

One teacher shared:

“Thank you for being a guiding light, a source of encouragement, and a positive influence in the lives of all our students. Your hard work and heart make a difference far beyond the classroom. I would like to kindly thank Mrs. Foster and her wonderful sorority sisters for being a blessing to the staff this week as well.”

Now THAT’S what it’s all about, service, appreciation, and making an impact in our schools and community.

Collectively, we donated items from our chapter wish list to support the brave servicemen and servicewomen defending our country. Together, we are strengthening our Zeta–Sigma partnership as we continue to Elevate the Bond through service, collaboration, and community impact.
