West End General & Furniture Thrift Stores: provides low cost household items, clothing and furniture for the community. Hours are as follows:
Monday-Friday 10:00am-5:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-2:00pm. Leslie’s House: This program offers transitional housing for 22 single women as well as case management and additional supportive services with the goal of a healthie

r, self-sufficient life. The Winter Women’s Shelter is open December through March providing additional safe, warm space with supportive services. To learn more, click here:

Outreach: provides classes and activities for neighbors and residents of Leslie’s House to enhance skills, offer training and provide recreational opportunities. Community Meal: provides a hot meal served to approximately 200+ neighbors weekly on Thursday evenings at 5:30pm. Food Pantry: distributes food boxes to qualifying neighborhood residents each Thursday afternoon. High Point LEAP: West End provides community partnership for leaders and children participating in this literacy and development program. Emergency Assistance: helps households with utility or rental/mortgage assistance. VITA Tax Services: provides free tax preparation service to neighbors in the community making less than $41,000/year.

Thank you to the Elks Lodge of High Point. High Point Elks #1155 They helped one of our partnering agency’s Greater High Point Food Alliance put on a snap benefit simulation and then made a donation to several local food pantries. We received an invitation today, for trauma care, that we thought we’d share with you! Details below.

We believe the church, partners and community should be equipped to love and care for all people. World-renowned Faith-based trauma therapist Dr. Diane Langberg often shares that she believes trauma is the new mission field.

We invite you! Green Street Baptist Church is partnering with Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina to host an interactive training in our Fellowship Hall on Saturday, October 3, 8:30am-12pm.

The training is designed to equip you, the church, volunteers, parents, grandparents, nonprofits and others with tools to support children and others impacted by trauma and create spaces of care and connection.
