We're on the run! GO FAR's 10-week, 20-session program helps elementary students train to run or walk/run a 5k. The program has grown to include more than 40 participating schools in Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem and dozens more across the country, from California to NC we are GOING FAR! We reach over 10,000 children and their families each year.

At GO FAR, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow, belong, and cross every finish line knowing they are supported by a community that sees and values them. As we celebrate this important day, may we continue learning from one another and working toward a future where every child has the chance to thrive.

The exhaustion was real, but so was the joy. 💙🏁

Fresh off the finish line, Katelynn and Sherry took a moment to soak it all in. Months of planning, thousands of runners, countless volunteers, and one incredible community coming together to make race day unforgettable.

It was busy, it was chaotic, it was so much fun... and we'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. Thank you for making GO FAR what it is. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️✨

Need a healthy snack idea to keep your GO FAR kiddos fueled this summer? 🍉☀️🍓

We found this fun Watermelon Pizza recipe from Super Healthy Kids, and it's almost too cute to eat! Start with a watermelon "crust," spread on a creamy layer of sweetened cream cheese, then let the kids get creative with fresh berries, a drizzle of honey and strawberry glaze, and a sprinkle of mint.

It’s about building a foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits — teaching kids that taking care of themselves mentally, physically, and socially matters. 🏃‍♀️✨

Through movement, encouragement, teamwork, and goal setting, students learn confidence, resilience, connection, and the importance of caring for both their bodies and their minds. The lessons they gain through GO FAR don’t end at the finish line — they become tools they can carry with them for life.

We’re so proud to create spaces where kids can grow stronger, healthier, and more confident together. 💫

One of our favorite race day traditions 💙🏁

The Coaches Lot is more than just a row of tents and banners. It's a home base for our GO FAR clubs. A place for participants to gather with their teammates, build excitement before the race, celebrate afterward, and soak in all the school spirit that makes race day so special.

It also serves as a central meeting point for families, helping parents and kids easily reconnect throughout the morning. From pre-race jitters to post-race hugs, some of the best race day moments happen right here.

We loved seeing our GO FAR schools show up and show out! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🎉
