The Greater High Point Food Alliance was recognized by the United Way of North Carolina under the category of Community Resiliency: Disaster Relief and Recovery for our Fill the Gap campaign.

Created during the government shutdown and SNAP benefit pause, this initiative mobilized donors, community partners, and local leaders to address food insecurity throughout our community.

We are thankful to our local funders and community members for their support of our work, and we are grateful to the United Way of Greater High Point for nominating us for this honor.

Congratulations to all the other award winners!

As food insecurity continues to affect more families across our community, local pantry leaders, volunteers, and organizations are stepping up every day to meet the growing need. This video highlights the importance of compassion, collaboration, and community support in responding to the challenges many of our neighbors are facing. If you would like to help, consider volunteering, donating food, or contributing gas gift cards to support pantry pickups and deliveries. Last month, our Executive Director participated in a panel hosted by the High Point Community Foundation focused on food insecurity, while our team continued strengthening partnerships and engaging in community events.

We were also excited to award 23 local nonprofits through our Food Security Fund and distribute the final Fill the Gap Campaign checks to agencies supporting neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
