Hallmarks of History | Wogan S. Badcock, Sr.

A true pioneer, Wogan S. Badcock, Sr. (1898–1987) built W.S. Badcock Corporation from a single store into a network of more than 240 locations—helping shape both wholesale and retail models in the furniture industry.
Known for introducing the concept of associate (franchise) stores and leading with integrity, his people-first approach and enduring motto, “Badcock Will Treat You Right,” became the foundation of a legacy that continues today.

As Hallmarks of History continues, we recognize the inductees whose leadership helped shape our industry.

The Leadership Institute is more than just learning, it’s the moments in between that make it truly impactful.

From sharing meals and meaningful conversations to engaging in hands-on team challenges, these experiences build the connections that last far beyond the program. It’s where ideas are exchanged, perspectives are broadened, and a strong network of future leaders begins to take shape.

Because leadership isn’t developed in isolation—it’s built together.

Returning participant registration is now open. Visit https://www.homefurnishingshalloffame.com/leadership-institute-1 to register.
