Margaret McDonald, a founding director of the Academy, left a wonderful message to all of us:

"I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to lead the academy for 25 years. Thank you to all teachers and students, past and present, of the Academy. It’s so wonderful to see the expert way Yulia has continued the excellent growth of the Academy.
Thanks to everyone involved who made the celebration so exciting and meaningful!

Congratulations to Victoria Ontiveros, our scholarship piano student, for being accepted into the UNCSA Summer Piano Intensive program. It's a three-week festival for advanced pianists ages 12-26 that offers classes, seminars, performances, and masterclasses with world-renowned artists. It's a great honor and a fantastic opportunity! We are very happy for you, Victoria!

Victoria has been taking piano lessons at the Academy for five years under the guidance of Yulia Roubtsova.

Please join us on May 28th at 5 PM.

St. Mary's Music Academy celebrates its 25th anniversary next week, and you're invited! The existence of the Academy is impossible to imagine without the support of St. Mary's, so our entire congregation is invited to help celebrate this milestone.

Business High Point Chamber of Commerce will attend the celebration to conduct a proper ribbon cutting since the academy didn't have one when it opened back in 2001. We'll be in the Community Life Center at 5 pm on May 28 for an evening of cherished memories, inspiring stories, and beautiful music!

Jan Lisiecki, celebrated alumnus of The RCM, Taylor Academy, and The Glenn Gould School and internationally renowned pianist, began playing piano at age five in Calgary, Alberta. Acclaimed by The New York Times as "a pianist who makes every note count," Jan’s journey demonstrates how The RCM Certificate Program can support musical growth at every level.

Jan earned the highest academic credentials of the RCM Certificate Program by age 13. By 15, he had signed an exclusive recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon, and while studying at The Glenn Gould School, he made his debut with the New York Philharmonic. Today, Jan performs over 80 concerts a year with leading orchestras worldwide, cementing his status as one of Canada’s most celebrated pianists.
