Shoutout to my sissy in arms, Brandi Karlick, for being an actual angel and bringing us a huge haul down the mountain to make hygiene kits with!!

And also to my sweet built in bestie, Angie, for helping assemble a whole heap of kits already!

The next donations we’re looking for are some feminine hygiene products to put together in little kits like these as well!

If anyone has any cute old makeup bags or IPSY bags or the like sitting in a drawer unused I would love to put them to use for the feminine hygiene care kits!

If you’re in the triad area and want to donate cute gently used makeup bags and or period products reach out to me and I can pick them up!

If you’re not in the triad but still want to help,
you can either message us and I’ll send you an address to mail them to or you can send money on Venmo and I can purchase them!

Bloom Brigade Mutual Aid 🌼

Hi friends 🪷

Ashley Lane here!

With the love and support of the Turner Family, a new endeavor has been born!

This winter my father-in-law, Andy Turner, heard me make a comment about the growing homeless population in the area and a wish to help.

Shortly after he sent a message to a family group chat of this sweet box he had constructed!

All it needed was some paint, a post, and a plan! 💓

Too many people are choosing between food, warmth, and basic dignity and I know so many of us believe community can close that gap!

Bloom Brigade aims to be a small, community-powered effort rooted in the simple belief that
we take care of one another!

We’ll be learning all the steps as we go!
But we figure leap first is as good a method as any!

Any resources you have to offer, from effective mutual aid leadership, to books, to your time, to donations are welcomed!

This account is a place to share resources, see what’s in the box and what is needed, support our neighbors, and make sure less of our community has to navigate hard times alone.

As it stands, this little box is our primary spot to give back to the community!

But this sweet little effort is hopefully only the beginning of an ever evolving community effort!
With this seed we plant a little love that has the power to ripple out!
