Wow. WOW. Data centers' power usage: knew it was bad. Didn't know it's this bad. Data centers anticipated to use as much power as 150 million electric vehicles by 2030. Did we read that right?

US data center power usage may be equivalent to power used by 150m EVs by 2030: MS

Energy Transfer "pipeline destruction partners" is at it again. Imagine your home being destroyed like this. Unacceptable -- especially because this is the opposite of the common interest. It's climate destruction, water pollution and tearing communities apart all at the same time. Stop Mariner East! "This destruction was so that a Texas-based corporation can profit from shipping highly explosive natural gas liquids through our communities for export overseas to make single-use plastics."

Time to protect the bees, butterflies and birds -- and our own groundwater, babies and bodies -- from neonicotinoids. The bill passed already to ban neonics in New York State. But Gov Hochul is delaying and delaying on signing it! Please email her; it takes just a minute.

In a worrying study, 30% of groundwater samples in Long Island were found to have neonics. Hell, my neighbors sprays neonics, I drink groundwater next door, and I can't stop him -- but this bill can. Tell Gov Hochul to stop delaying, get with the program and sign it. Monarchs' decline of 90% is also due to multiple factors but coincides with neonics use. Sign, Hochul, sign!

Please email Governor Hochul and ask her to sign the Birds and Bees Protection Act: https://bit.ly/3rI3E89 Read more in the NYT: https://nyti.ms/3Qas98m

Neonics are neurotoxic insecticides that are used everywhere: from lawns to gardens to farm fields across the country. And in New York State, we're working on phasing them out. But we're up against HUGE chemical companies and industrial agriculture interests who are fighting to continue using these....

We pulled off an incredible action yesterday in New York City at the Bloomberg Invest conference, pushing TIAA CEO Thasunda Brown Duckett (who was speaking inside at the conference) to divest $78B from fossil fuels. The eerie orange skies and heavy smoke pall over the city accentuated the urgency of the action, but did not lower the volume. Hope you can enjoy this video!

“It’s unacceptable that our retirement savings, managed by , are used for fossil fuel investments and land grabbing that harm the planet and communities we work with👇 ”

UPenn professors have joined the ranks of those speaking up against TIAA's massive fossil fuel investments. First they joined the complaint against TIAA filed last fall -- now they're speaking in a major piece of great student journalism published today in the Daily Pennsylvanian. This builds momentum also towards the March 1 webinar hosted by TIAADivest! Please read and share:

Penn faculty retirement funds are primarily managed by TIAA, a company with an estimated $78 billion in fossil fuel investments.
