Gobble ’til you wobble! 🦃

Looks like someone wanted to be the first to welcome November at the Hidden Valley Lake Association! 😉 Our unexpected feathered visitor showed up right at the Member Services front door, ready to kick off the month in true turkey fashion.

Happy November, Hidden Valley Lake. We hope your month is full of gratitude, laughter, and plenty of reasons to gobble with joy!

Be sure to check out this incredible Halloween display on Deer Hollow tonight! We love seeing the creativity and festive spirit throughout our community. Thank you to everyone who goes all out to make Halloween such a fun (and spooky!) night for our families!

As you head out tonight, please remember to slow down and drive carefully throughout HVL. Hundreds of little ghosts, goblins, and trick-or-treaters will be out enjoying the evening, and we want everyone to get home safely.

A reminder that Spyglass Road will be closed to through traffic from 5:30pm to 9pm by our Security Department to help keep one of the busiest trick-or-treating areas safe.

Residents who live on Spyglass Road and neighboring streets will still have access by presenting their ID to Security.

Please be extra mindful of pedestrians, watch for children crossing the streets, and give yourself a little extra time to get where you’re going.

Let’s work together to make it a safe, fun, and memorable Halloween in Hidden Valley Lake!

Happy Halloween, HVL! 👻🎃

Reminder that our Security Department will be closing off Spyglass Road from 5:30pm to 9pm to ensure a safe and fun evening for everyone.

Each year, hundreds of families join us in this part of the neighborhood to enjoy a festive night of trick-or-treating. To help keep everyone safe, traffic will be restricted in this area during these hours.

Residents who live on Spyglass Road and neighboring streets will still have access by presenting their ID to Security.

We encourage everyone to plan accordingly and come out to enjoy the spooky fun! Thank you for helping make Halloween in our community a safe, family-friendly event.

Fall back is almost here, Hidden Valley Lake! 🍃🍂

Daylight Saving Time is this Sunday, November 1st. Remember to turn your clocks back one hour before heading to bed Saturday night.

Enjoy that extra hour of sleep and take a moment to check your household clocks, alarms, and other devices.

That’s a wrap on pool season! 💦

Today is the LAST DAY to enjoy the pool before we close for the season. The pool will close at 8pm tonight, so come enjoy those final hours with us!

We want to give a huge THANK YOU to our Hidden Valley Lake community for making this pool season such a great one, and an extra special thank you to our amazing pool staff for all their hard work, dedication, and care throughout the season. We appreciate you all!

Electronic ballots have officially gone out, and voting is now open for the 2026 HVLA Board of Directors Election! There are two open seats with three-year terms and two candidates running. We encourage all members to review the election materials and participate in this important community process.

How to Vote Electronically
Check your email, including your spam or junk folder. Look for a message from the Inspector of Elections with the subject “HVLA-TIE VOTE.” This email contains your unique username and instructions for casting your ballot

Important Voting Deadlines
Paper ballots: Must be received by 5pm on Friday, November 20, 2026.
Electronic ballots: Accepted until 11:59am on Saturday, November 21, 2026.
Voting closes: When the Annual Members' Meeting is called to order at noon on Saturday, November 21, 2026.

Annual Members' Meeting
Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 12pm in the Activities Center. Members may also attend virtually via Microsoft Teams. The livestream link will be shared in the weekly Clear Lines newsletter.

Community Updates: Beach Closure, Court Painting & Lake Maintenance ‼️

Here are a few updates for our Hidden Valley Lake community to keep in mind this week.

Big Beach Closure-
Big Beach is closed beginning today through Tuesday, November 2nd, for water line replacement and associated pavement work. Please plan accordingly while these necessary repairs are completed.

Hartmann Park Basketball Court-
The basketball court at Hartmann Park will be closed today, Thursday, and tomorrow, Friday, for court line painting. Thank you for your patience as we make improvements to our shared amenities.

Lake Maintenance Update-
Clean Lakes will be on-site Friday to place phosphorus collection bags in the feeder creeks leading into the lake. This important maintenance effort helps reduce phosphorus levels in the water, lowering the risk of summer algae blooms and supporting the health of our lake.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue caring for the amenities and natural resources that make Hidden Valley Lake such a special place to call home.
