Message from Ray Johnson
Going to go ahead and announce there will be a School of the Piece Hosted by Fort Conch in San Angelo Tx. Loyal Train chapter of the USFAA will be providing the Training.
Dates as follows:
Friday September 29th, registration 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. Location will be at the living history stables classroom , 210 Henry O Flipper street in San Angelo Tx. There will be a meet and greet at 6:00 pm with a light supper provided.
Saturday September the 30th will be class room and safety demonstration starting at 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We will serve breakfast and lunch with our big supper that evening starting at 6:00 pm.
Sunday October 1st will be field training starting at 8:00 am to noon. Lunch will be served at 12:00 noon Then completion certificates will be given.
The cost of class is 60.00 per person. If you would like to stay in one of the historic barracks you may. Just bring bed roll. We will furnish cots. Showers are no problem , we have men and women’s showers available just bring your own towels.
What to bring with u as follows
Wool shell jackets ( Must ) if you are new and donot have one we have some extras that can be loaned to you.
We will provide ear protection ( ear plugs )
Bring your bed rolls and towels.
Full uniforms are not required. But if you want to wear yours feel free todo so.
Loyal Train will provide the artillery pieces along with fort Concho’s guns.
We will provided the powder needed for the class.
