“Thank you so much! This is such a HUGE relief for us and a HUGE help! We are forever grateful for your kindness.” - Brooke, Our first mother of 2024 receiving a Genevieve Memorial Breast Cancer Recovery Grant. 

Brooke is BRCA 1 positive and was diagnosed with Stage 3C Triple Negative Breast Cancer when her daughter was 9 months old. Her children are now 3 and 5. She has had chemotherapy, two mastectomy surgeries, radiation both times and all lymph nodes removed in her right arm. She lives in Florida and travels to MD Anderson because of their expertise with BRCA patients.

She now suffers from severe lymphedema and cancer has been detected in her ovaries. Brooke will have a complete hysterectomy, and our recovery grant will help cover three nights, six breakfasts, lunches and dinner for her and her husband, and a contribution toward travel.

We are cheering you on, Brooke! 🧡
