Today is the day to get those bikes tuned up and ready for summer. We are also giving away 3 new bikes and several other prizes.

Be sure to bring your kids and their bicycles to the FREE Bike Repair Workshop sponsored by the Hicksville Community Fund. This event will be held during the Hicksville Heritage Days and will be a great opportunity to learn some hands on skills and ensure their bikes are ready to go this summer. In addition to having some local bike experts on hand, we will be giving all kids a chance to win one of two new bikes and lots of other great pizes.

The Hicksville Community Fund was honored to present the Hicksville historical Society with a check for $4000 to help restore the Historical St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Hicksville.

GRAND OPENING. We are happy to announce that the ribbon cutting for the Hicksville splashpad will be Thursday, May 15 at 2:00pm and it will officially be open to the public. We cannot say thank you enough to all of the individuals and businesses that made this a reality. Anyone who contributed to the success of the splashpad is welcome to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony.

👏Congratulations to the Johnson Memorial Library Friends for receiving not one, but two grants this week for the second phase of remodel and renovations at the library!

1️⃣ The Johnson Memorial Library Friends accepted a $7,500 grant from the Hicksville Community Fund, a fund under the Defiance Area Foundation umbrella.

2️⃣The Johnson Memorial Library Friends also accepted a second check, matching the $7,500, from Jim and Karen Schmidt.
