❤️🐾 LOVE LIVES ON — In Memory of Purrcy 🐾❤️

Some little lives leave the biggest paw prints on our hearts.

Today, we remember sweet Percival “Purrcy” Ester, a beautiful little soul whose time here was far too short, but whose life was filled with love.

Purrcy’s mom shared these touching words:

“Rest in peace, sweet little Percival ‘Purrcy’ Ester ~ You crossed over that rainbow bridge sooner than we thought you would and while our time with you was far too brief, it was quite precious… Goodbye, buddy.” 🐾🌈

In Purrcy’s memory, his mom generously donated his food to Sydney’s Friends so that other animals in need could benefit from his gift.

Thank you to Purrcy’s family for thinking of others during such a heartbreaking time.

If you’re in the area, stop by and give Jim Armstrong Subaru, Inc. a big thank you!

They’ve selected Sydney’s Friends again for Subaru Loves Pets, and we’re grateful to be part of this nationwide effort.

In 2025, Subaru and its retailers provided $3.1 million in grants through the ASPCA, supporting more than 110,000 animals across the country! That funding helped animal welfare organizations provide veterinary care, spay/neuter services, foster support, and adoption assistance.

At Sydney’s Friends, our work focuses on providing pet food and supplies to help local animals and the people who love them.

If you visit Jim Armstrong Subaru, let them know you appreciate their support of Sydney’s Friends. ❤️🐾

We’re proud to be part of Subaru Loves Pets!

We are incredibly grateful to partner with Jim Armstrong Subaru, Inc. as part of the Subaru Loves Pets® initiative.

When local businesses and organizations come together for animals, amazing things can happen. This partnership helps us continue supporting pets and the people who love them throughout our community — from providing much-needed pet food and supplies to helping local shelters and community programs.

A huge THANK YOU to Jim Armstrong Subaru for choosing to support Sydney’s Friends and for sharing our commitment to making life better for animals in our community.

Stocked up for the month! Meals on Wheels of Catawba County, Burke County Senior Center and Alexander County Social Services received their monthly pet food delivery, over 1100 lbs, with the help of Jeanne Dingler Heineman’s sweet boy, Tucker!

Our ability to provide pet food to senior citizens, many of whom have no one but their pets, depends on support from the community. If you’d like to make a one time or recurring donation, click on the donation link below and make a real difference for senior citizens and their pets.
