July's meeting featured an out-of-town speaker, Mark Rienke, of Marble Branch Farms. Mark gave an excellent presentation on the Dendrobium orchid genus. He answered questions afterwards and also brought numerous beautiful and well grown orchids for attendees to purchase. For those unable to attend you missed a really exceptional meeting. No programs for August as we have our Members Only CVOS BBQ. Will post regarding September's meeting shortly. Images below are a small selection of orchids offered from sales table and acquired by members

July's CVOS meeting was thoroughly enjoyed by members and new joinees. Mark Reinke gave a detailed and information laden presentation along with a life times experience growing various Dendrobium and species. The taxonomy, habit, hybrids and growing needs were discussed in detail. Mark also provided a spectacular selection of hybrids and species in flowering, to near flowering sizes. The Members had a great time adding new plants to their collections and we continue to invite those interested in orchids to visit one of our monthly meetings.
