Lenoir-Rhyne Youth Chorus Lenoir-Rhyne Youth Chorus inspires singers in grades 3-12 through a shared choral experience. Both boys with unchanged voices and girls are welcome to audition.

LRYC is open to children from ages eight to eighteen by audition into either the beginning (Minnesinger) or advanced (Meistersinger) choruses. Both groups rehearse on Mondays, Minnesingers from 5:15 – 6:30 and Meistersingers from 7:00 – 8:30 during the school year. In the summer of 2007, members of the advanced chorus group were privileged to attend the International Children's Choir Festival at Canterbury Cathedral in Canterbury, England. In more recent years, the choir has participated in a festival at Carnegie Hall, New York City, and the Sing a Mile High Festival in Denver, CO. LRYC regularly performs for churches, civic organizations, and in concerts with the Lenoir-Rhyne A Ca****la Choir. It has also performed twice with the Western Piedmont Symphony, including “The Planets” by Gustav Holst in 2012. In the summer of 2014, the choir enjoyed an incredible tour in Austria and Germany. Recently, LRYC has enjoyed successful tours of South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and Washington D.C. They were recently featured as choir-in-residence for the NC Summer Institute in Choral Art.

🎶✨ The Lenoir-Rhyne Youth Chorus is stepping into an exciting new season, and there’s a lot to look forward to!

This year brings new leadership, renewed energy, fresh ideas, and new opportunities for the singers and families who make LRYC such a special community.

We’re also excited to share that the administrative assistant/Student Worker position has been restored, adding important support to help LRYC continue to grow and thrive.

But that’s not all…

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to share more with you.

✨ Come see for yourself!

Stay tuned. More exciting information is coming soon!
