💪 The Hickory Greenway Harvest team assembled & installed raised garden beds at Kingston Residence in Hickory on Saturday. These custom-built beds will allow residents of the assisted living facility to enjoy therapeutic benefits of gardening for many growing seasons to come. Thanks team for the hard work!

🌱 Rehab continues on our raised beds at the SALT Block Foundation as we support of our missions of fostering sustainable agriculture practices and feeding hunger needs in our community.

💪 Gray skies, drizzle, and difficult work didn’t deter our team of volunteers, including Marcus P. Miller, Joe Long, Beth Leicht, MD Words and our expert builders MT Home Improvements INC!

🔨 Weekend work followed a big effort from MT Home Improvements INC to wrap the beds in roofing tin. Massive gratitude to Michael and the MT team for their Herculean support! Be sure to see the pics of where we started!

☀️ These improvements ensure that we’ll be able to grow vegetables for Hickory Soup Kitchen and other food service agencies in our Hickiry Metro Community for many years to come!

🪴 We’ve still got work to do, but the garden will be ready for planting day very soon. Stay tuned!

☀️ Saturday was a great day in the garden working with friends to ready our raised beds at the SALT Block Foundation for this growing season - and many more!

🫑 These beds have served our mission for several years - producing tons of vegetables for Hickory Soup Kitchen - but it is time for renovations. Phase 1: remove corner brackets and shore up the structure for Phase 2. Check back for updates!

👏 👏👏 BIG THANKS to our work crew. It was tough at times but we persevered and got it done. 💪

🌱 Happy New Year from Hickory Greenway Harvest! 🎉

Since our journey began in 2016, the Salt Block Garden and all the other Gardens | Farm have flourished, and together, we’ve harvested countless vegetables to share with our community and Hickory Soup Kitchen. 🥕🍅🌽

We are so grateful to each and every one of you who has supported us this past year and throughout the years. Your dedication, whether through volunteering, donations, or simply cheering us on, has made all the difference. 💚

As we step into 2025, let’s continue growing, giving, and making an impact together. Here’s to another amazing year with our incredible community!

🎄✨ This year has been a season of growth and gratitude, and we are so thankful for the incredible volunteers who have poured their time, energy, and hearts into our mission. Together, we’ve planted seeds of hope, nurtured community connections, and witnessed the power of collective action.
