FVF Outreach Florida Venture Foundation, a 501c3 non profit organization with a mission is to create "strategies for success" for small business and at risk youth.

FVF also serves the elderly community . Florida Venture Foundation was established in 1998 to contribute to the area’s economic development by assisting its residents and businesses in successfully accessing every available opportunity. FVF is a non-profit organization that has been structured to provide training, guidance, education, outreach, technical support, and other strategic services to:

• Youth At Risk Strategies for Success Program is funded by Miami Dade County-CDBG and US HUD (Housing Urban Development). Providing young adult students mentorship, life skills workshops, and tuition assistance.
• Minority or disadvantaged (at-risk) young adults through its YouthBuild Outreach Program , with tutoring , school supplies giveaway , soft skills training , placement and trade school initiatives . The importance of staying in school and obtaining an education
• Small or minority-owned companies through an integrated series of outreach programs and FVF’s unique Business Resource Center to include vendor application assistance in Miami Dade County and other governmental agencies .
Serving the elderly population through visits minimizing their alone time , hosting life and holiday celebrations where the elderly receive a “Goodie Bag” with much needed toiletry items .
Encourage and Enroll minorities in school classes to learn English and young adults to finish high school through the GED Program . The Youth Build and Business Outreach Program are funded by Miami Dade County. The Miami Dade County CDBG funds the Public Service Elderly Program . Miami Dade County Public Schools funds the adult education classes .

Tuesday, March 31, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. at Westchester Regional Library

Sign up for the Strategic Procurement Department's Vendor Registration Boot Camp, taking place Tuesday, March 31, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Westchester Regional Library (9445 Coral Way, Miami FL 33165). We will walk you through the vendor registration process step-by-step to make sure you are ready to participate in County contracts. This event is intended for businesses not currently registered as a Vendor with Miami-Dade County.

To participate in the event, bring the following information with you on a flash drive:

Company's name, address, email, and contact person's information
Local business tax receipt if company physical address is in Miami-Dade County
Certificate of Corporation
Signed and dated W-9 Form (Rev. 3-2024)
Any preprinted IRS form issued by the IRS identifying your business name and EIN
Remember to bring your laptop! If you do not have a laptop, indicate that on the registration form and we will try to accommodate. There are a limited number of laptops available at the library. If you have your own laptop, we recommend you bring it, so you get the most out of this event.

Last year, FVF proudly provided essential services to over 1,200 members of our community, generating measurable change across several key programs:

Youth Empowerment: Through our Youth Build and Youth At Risk programs, we reached over 500 disadvantaged youth. We provided critical supplies and financial assistance, empowering them to continue their education or vocational training.
Economic Development: The Business Resource Center assisted and supported over 100 small to micro-businesses, fostering local economic growth and stability.
Elderly Services: Our focus on minimizing isolation for older community members reached over 80 people, providing essential companionship and much-needed toiletries.
Community Outreach & Support:
In conjunction with LABA, we equip 25 mothers-to-be annually with vital start-up necessities.
We also delivered over 500 Thanksgiving meals to community families.
