We want to thank everyone who donated to our Giving Tuesday fundraisers. Your generosity was not unnoticed, and we couldn't support the rare disease community without you. Although we did not meet our goal of $10,000 this year since our big event was unfortunately canceled due to weather, we still wanted to hold our commitments and donate some funds to The VEDS Movement, Adventures in Love 4 Andie, and The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health. While we were not able to give the amounts we wanted this year, we were able to support the three equally, who are doing tremendous work supporting VEDS, and Aortic Health.
There is a lot of overhead when running a nonprofit, and since we don't sell anything, we couldn't do this without your support. Your donations make the Chalkbird Inc and The Chalkbird car possible. You are the true heroes behind the chalkbird, and you are saving lives.
If you didn't get a chance to donate and would like to join our team of heroes, you can still donate using the donate button. We would love to have you as part of our family.
More about the companies,
The VEDS Movement - The VEDS Movement had created so much The VEDS Movement mission is to save lives and improve the quality of life of individuals with Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (VEDS). By pursuing the most innovative research, educating the medical community, general public and affected individuals, and providing support to patients, families, and caregivers, we can charge forward and improve the outcomes for those living with VEDS.
Adventuresinlove4Andie - The mission of Adventure in Love 4 Andie is to raise awareness for vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (vEDS). We also raise funds to support patient care, patient outreach, and research to find better treatments for vEDS. We do this in honor of Andie Mae G. Carpenter. Andie passed away at age 20 from complications of vEDS. Better education and care could have saved her life. Our mission is to help other vEDS families have more time with their loved ones like we would have loved to have.
John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health - The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health exists to spread awareness of aortic health and prevent unnecessary suffering through genetic research, widespread education, and radical advocacy.
