💔 FOUND CURLED UP BESIDE A HIGHWAY. SHE STILL PUT HER HEAD IN A STRANGER’S HANDS.

That is how Pearl’s rescuer first met her—nearly starved to death beside the road between Farmington and Shiprock. When he approached, she trotted toward him and rested her head in his hands.

Even after everything she had endured, Pearl reached for kindness.

Pearl is approximately **18 months old and appears to be a bulldog mix.** Her rescuers describe a gentle, affectionate girl who loves being around people. On walks, she politely asks new friends for scratches before continuing on her way. ❤️

And there is so much more to this precious girl:

🐾 Reported to be crate trained and leash trained, with very little pulling.
🚗 Rides well in the car.
🛁 Loves baths!
🧸 Carries her fluffy toys around gently without tearing them apart.
🏡 Settles well when left alone, with little distress reported.
🍽️ Described as incredibly polite around food, with no food aggression observed.

**Her hunger is not her fault. Any fear she carries is not her fault. She deserves time, patience, and the chance to feel safe.**

Pearl has already gained about five pounds during her first week with her rescuers. They report that she is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and that her recent veterinary checks were reassuring. Her body is recovering, but she still needs time and support to heal physically and emotionally.

**Pearl needs a carefully matched home.** She has not been able to live safely with her rescuers’ two resident dogs and must be kept separately. They describe the conflicts as defensive on her part, but we cannot assume she will be comfortable with other dogs. An experienced home where she can be the only pet would give her space to settle while her needs are assessed. Her compatibility with cats and children is unknown.

We don’t know whether Pearl was dumped, abandoned, or escaped a hard life. Whatever brought her to that roadside, she deserves a future filled with care.

🚨 URGENT TWO SENIORS NEGLECT CASE NEED FOSTER HELP NOW 🚨

Meet Milo and Frank, two eight-year-old boys who just came into Denkai’s care following a neglect case in San Juan County, New Mexico, after their owner agreed to surrender them.

These boys came from a hoarding situation. We cannot share the details of their case, but we can tell you this: their lives have not been easy. Despite everything, both are loving, sweet seniors who deserve a second chance. ❤️

🐾 MILO is an eight-year-old neutered male pug—although we suspect he may actually be a Puggle! He has the sweetest personality and so much love to give. Milo needs corrective eye surgery, which our Denkai veterinary clinic can perform, but we need help funding his care and finding a foster home where he can settle in and recover.

🐾 FRANK appears to be an Australian Shepherd/Basset Hound mix. He is also incredibly sweet! He seems unfamiliar with walking on a leash but is very comfortable in a kennel. He needs a patient person who will help him build confidence and discover what life as a loved family member can be.

🏡 THESE BOYS DO NOT NEED TO GO TOGETHER. Separate foster or adoptive homes are welcome!

They deserve soft beds, gentle hands, and the security of knowing they are safe. Can you open your home to Milo or Frank?

❤️ SHE’S A SURVIVOR WITH SO MUCH LOVE LEFT TO GIVE. MEET WENDY.

Wendy is a 6–7-year-old Husky mix weighing about 60 pounds, and this precious girl has a beautiful way of finding happiness wherever she is—and with whomever she’s with.

Her bright eyes and sweet smile draw you in, but her loving personality is what makes you fall for her. Wendy enjoys being part of your world. Whether she’s spending time outside with you or settling into a cozy spot nearby, she’s simply happy to have your company.

She is a survivor, and through it all, she has held on to her joy and her love for people. Now we want to help her find a family who will give that love right back.

An update for those who followed her story: Wendy did not need surgery. This lovely girl is ready for her next chapter—a forever home where she is cherished.
