That's a wrap on another fantastic year! Congrats and thank you to everyone for all you do to keep this club awesome - it has been an excellent Spring Quarter and a great end to the 2025-26 school year. From competitions to TEA Prom to the infamous PowerPoint nights, it's never a dull moment with this club. Wishing everyone a wonderful summer full of theme park magic, fun, and good vibes! As this school year comes to a close, come celebrate this amazing year for the club at TEA Prom!! The dress code is semi-formal, and ride-themed, so make sure to wear the same colors as your favorite ride (swipe for outfit inspo!) Come present your own, or watch presentations about anything you want (theme park and themed entertainment presentations highly encouraged)! Want to create an unforgettable attraction? Want hands-on experience with attraction design, assembly, marketing, manufacturing, and more?

3D thrills is a student lead design project that seeks to manufacture a functional model roller coaster to present at tabling. This will also be a good chance to design something you can present to potential employers at the ASTM conference or at a future interview.

Our goal is to prepare UCSD Students for the Ride Amusement Industry. Our project is multidisciplinary with a slight focus on marketing and engineering. All majors, however, will have a chance to learn, create, and design the 3D modeled coaster. There will be plenty of engineering, but on top of that there will be creative scenery design, film and editing, marketing and outreach, and mini painting/making!

A few weeks ago, our team from TEA@UCSD travelled to Hershey, Pennsylvania to compete in the Ride Engineering competition, a culmination of months of hard work constructing a ride for jolly rancher candies. This project taught our members invaluable skills in collaboration, engineering, documentation and fabrication. In addition, we had the incredible opportunity to see the behind-the-scenes of Hersheypark and hear from some industry professionals. Overall, REC provided a deeply enriching experience, inspiring our members further to pursue a career in themed entertainment!
