Allentown Blueprint Communities

🏠💫As part of the recent two-year Blueprint Communities planning process, Allentown Blueprint identified a community vision for the areas of Center City and the 1st and 6th Wards of the City of Allentown. To support this vision, and in partnership with the Allentown Blueprint Community and the City of Allentown, Community Action Development Allentown is looking to bring revitalization efforts to the community - and we need your input on what those activities should be!

Join us to discuss: Affordable Housing, Community Events & Programming, the Gordon Street corridor, public art, and more!

What does your neighborhood look like through the eyes of a young storyteller?

Last week, students, artists, and neighbors joined our Blueprint Communities PhotoWalk to explore the 1st and 6th Wards in a whole new way. Armed with cameras and curiosity, participants captured everyday beauty, hidden corners, and the moments that define their version of the city.🌿

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, our partners at St. Luke’s Sacred Heart Campus, and our local photographer who brought this vision to life.

Want a sneak peek?
Select photos will be unveiled at the May community festival and showcased inside City Hall—come see the city through their lens.

Some members of our Blueprint team recently attended the Main Street Now Conference in Philadelphia!

It was an energizing few days of learning, networking, and exploring new ways to support community revitalization. We’re excited to bring fresh ideas back to our work! 🌆💡

Welcome to the team, Genesis!

St. Luke’s School-to-Work program provides workplace experience and exposes English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students to careers in health care. After moving from Puerto Rico to Bethlehem as a high school sophomore in 2017, Genesis Santiago signed up for St. Luke’s School-to-Work (STW) Program at Liberty High School. The School-to-Work partnership between St. Luke’s University Health Network and the Bethlehem Area School District has expanded learning and career opportunities for local students such as Santiago for more than 27 years.
