5K for Trey

T minus 42 hours and counting Mission Control and we have clearance for liftoff. Weather supposed to be beautiful. Please sign up to participate in the 5k for Trey this Saturday morning 10/12 at the Hershey Medical Center- 30 Hope Dr. Registrations at the day of the event on location are accepted!

Also, please look at the below site for an online auction complete with sports memorabilia, collectibles, golf passes to local courses, dance lesson package, and a 4 pack of Hershey Park passes with a hotel stay. Auction ends on Sunday 10/20 at 10 p.m. All funds go to Hershey Medical Center for research to finding cures for infectious diseases like the one that took our son, Trey's life almost a year ago.

Jere Gish from WGAL will be emcee for the event! A DJ will also be on hand. We will have theme baskets the day of the event for a silent auction, so bring your checkbooks!

We will also be setting up a silent auction online soon with a great collection of sports memorabilia from Penn State, the Steelers, and the Eagles, as well as signed footballs from James Franklin, Joe Paterno, and Dan Marino!

I know a lot of you out there have told me that you plan to take part in the "5k for Trey" event on Saturday October 12th and just haven't registered yet, but it is now only 3 weeks away! It would give me great relief to see the numbers going up sooner than later so we have some sort of idea how many to plan for!

Only 29 days until the “5k for Trey” to raise awareness and funding for valuable and much-needed research by the Milton S Hershey Medical Center into finding effective treatment options for infectious diseases like the one that took my son’s life almost 11 months ago. In order to register for the "5k for Trey" event on October 12th you need to click on the event link and select "Tickets". From there you will have 3 options; purchase early bird tickets for $25, purchase tickets for children 10 and under for $10, and for those who are unable to attend and wish to make a donation (or for those taking part in the event who may wish to make an additional tax deductible donation), that option is available under "Tickets" as well.
