The varsity wrestling team had 3 wrestlers make the 2026 PWCA All-Academic Team:

Christian Burd - 1st Team at 172 lbs.
Ethan Castillo - 1st Team at 285 lbs.
Alex Tagliati - 1st Team at 139 lbs.

Congratulations! These are wrestlers who work just as hard in the classroom as they do on the mats!

We officially wrapped up our Jr. High and Varsity seasons with our banquet on Thursday at the Italian Lodge. We had a lot to celebrate this year, including Christian Burd placing 6th at the PIAA state tournament! The following wrestlers won awards:

Triple D Award - Joseph Parks
Triple D Award - Alex Tagliati
Hammer Award - Christian Burd
Most Improved Award - Mason Salsgiver
Most Career Wins - Christian Burd (135)

Jr. High
Triple D Award - Thanasi Peslis
Hammer Award - Carter Battaglia
Most Improved Award - Vinson Peters
Most Improved Award - Mikey Woodford

We also awarded the Dylan James Dry Memorial Scholarship to seniors Christian Burd, Joseph Parks, and Ethan Castillo. Now we continue working hard for next season!

Mason Salsgiver competed in the MAWA West Region at State College over the weekend, where he placed 5th! He will now compete at Eastern Nationals next weekend. Congrats to Mason, and keep up the hard work!

Lucas Skowronski competed at the PJW 12U State Championships this weekend at the Farm Show Complex. Lucas went 1-2 and represented Hershey wrestling with pride. Congrats on a great season to Lucas and all our junior high wrestlers!

Congrats to Mikey Woodford and Vincent Balchune, who competed today at Juniata High School. Mikey took 1st place, and Vincent took 3rd place. Both advance to compete at the MAWA West Region Tournament at State College on April 18th, along with Mason Salsgiver, who has already qualified!
