Hey volunteers,
A little less than a week to go to Kiss Hershey Back 2012!
For the day of the event, please arrive at your district location at 9:00am. Your district leaders, who will be wearing bright blue, will meet you there. They will sign you in, give you all the necessary supplies (trash bags, gloves, safety vests, water etc.) and send your group to a location in your district to begin cleaning. If you pre-ordered a t-shirt, it will be waiting for you at your check-in table. We will also be selling t-shirts the morning of the event, so if you are interested, don’t forget to bring $10! For the event itself, Derry township employees will be circulating through the township, picking up all of our collected trash. Once you fill a bag, you can leave it on any main road, and it will be picked up and disposed of. If you see a group of bags, please drop your bag along with them, we don’t want to have the truck stopping every 10 feet to pick up lone bags!
Currently, the weather for Saturday is cloudy with a chance of showers; please note that we will be holding our clean-up day rain or shine! Whatever the weather, be sure to dress appropriately- comfortable shoes, clothing that can get a little dirty and rain gear if necessary.
After you are done beautifying Hershey, please join us at the Event Tent at the Hershey Medical Center Campus for a free thank you luncheon. Your district leaders will provide directions from your site, if needed. The event will be held near the University Fitness and Conference Center (16 on the map). Signs will point you towards parking day of.
Finally, if you are in District 7 there has been a change in location for your meeting site. Please meet at the Hershey Co. Global Customer Innovation Center parking lot at 175 Crystal A Drive (To access this lot, you'll take the hill that leads up to the Police Academy, but turn left into our corporate entrance. Once you turn left, take a right at the yield sign, and that parking lot is yours.)
