Cats have a very powerful scent organ, their nose. They have 200 million scent receptors with bumps and ridges unique to the cat. Their noseprint is like our fingerprint. Each cat has a different nose print and no two are alike.

Happy National Feral Cat Day!

Today, we're shining a spotlight on the community cats who need our help and the importance of TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return)!
TNVR is one of the most effective and humane ways to help control community cat populations, prevent unwanted litters, and improve the lives of cats living outdoors. Every cat spayed or neutered means fewer kittens born into a life of uncertainty.

And we've been BUSY putting that mission into action!

Wednesday: Our amazing partner organization, Derry Township Community Cats, sent 6 cats for TNVR!

Tomorrow: Cocoa Kitties is sending an additional 10 cats for TNVR!

That's 16 community cats receiving care and helping break the cycle of overpopulation in just a few days!

While adoption stories often get the spotlight, TNVR is just as important to rescue. It's not always glamorous. It takes patience, dedication, early mornings, late nights, and volunteers willing to do the hard work behind the scenes.

Every cat matters. Whether they're curled up on someone's couch or living outdoors, they deserve compassion, care, and a chance at a healthier life.
Together, we're making a difference, one cat at a time!

It's our amazing hospice foster, Forbes, here with a little favor to ask!

With our recent influx of cats and kittens, we are going through paper towels like CRAZY! Between cleaning up messes, caring for our kittens, and keeping everything fresh and clean, paper towels are one thing we can NEVER have enough of!

Wanna help Forbes and his furry friends?

Send paper towels directly to us through Amazon:

Cats have a third eyelid. It's a membrane that delivers moisture over the cats eye and removes harmful deposits. It's also believed to protect cats eyes from brush and tall grasses in the wilderness. If you see the third eyelid out regularly, please call your vet. It could be a sign of illness.
Sheryl Crow has no third eyelid showing. She is available for adoption at www.cocoakitties.org
