💙✨ Match Appreciation Lunch + National Mentoring Month ✨💙

Today we hosted our 1st Match Appreciation Lunch for our incredible mentors and mentees, celebrating January as National Mentoring Month 🙌

We also took time to recognize and thank our amazing Hershey mentors in honor of National Thank Your Mentor Day. These mentors give their time, heart, and encouragement to help students grow, and the impact they make truly matters 🌟

One of my favorite parts of the day was seeing our matches come together — sharing conversations, laughter, and connection while enjoying soups and snacks 🥣💬

👥 We are currently at 70 active matches, but we are always looking for more mentors! Right now, we have about 10 students on our waitlist who are hoping for a mentor of their own.

Today on January 21, we celebrate National Thank Your Mentor Day — a special reminder to pause and express gratitude for the mentors who make a lasting impact in our lives 🙌

At TeamMates, our mentors are truly extraordinary individuals. They generously give their time, encouragement, and guidance to help students reach their full potential 🌟 The difference they make is powerful, meaningful, and often life-changing.

These mentors deserve to be recognized, celebrated, and thanked for the incredible role they play 💙

We are so excited to honor our mentors at our Match Appreciation Lunch and celebrate all that they do!

Today is the perfect day to say thank you — whether it’s a note, a message, or a simple gesture — in a way that would make your mentor’s day extra special 💌

It’s no secret, we have THE BEST mentors! 🙌✨

Our goal each year is 24 mentor meetings, and we are so proud to say that so many of our mentors crushed the halfway mark (or came incredibly close!) during the first semester 👏🎯

Even more impressive? Some of these wins came from new mentor matches who joined well into the semester and still showed up strong 💪💙

With the spring semester bringing more than 12 weeks ahead, there are even more opportunities to hit goals, build meaningful relationships, and make a lasting impact while spending quality time with an amazing student 🌱📚

We are beyond grateful for the commitment, consistency, and heart our mentors bring to this program every single day ❤️

Each month, our Elementary Students of the Month earn a token 🎟️ to pick out a book from our vending machine 📖✨—and the excitement, big smiles 😄, and happy hearts never get old!

🎉 What an unforgettable night in Hershey! 💜✨

We had an absolute blast celebrating with over 100 amazing little girls and their dads, grandpas, and uncles at our Hershey TeamMates Glow Party Dance! 🌟🎶

For a full two hours, the cafeteria was filled with laughter, dancing, singing, and glowing smiles! 💃🕺💖 We did our best to capture as many special moments as possible from this magical evening — and wow, did these families shine! ✨📸

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and made this event so meaningful. 🙌💞

And to my incredible TeamMates Board — thank you for your time, energy, and teamwork. Events like this remind us that it truly takes a village! 🤝❤️

🏒🥅 TeamMates Day at the Tri-City Storm Game! 💜🤍

What an unforgettable afternoon with our amazing mentors and mentees at the 🧊 Tri-City Storm hockey game! 🎉

For many, it was their first time at a hockey game — and the excitement was real! 🤩 From the fast-paced action on the ice to cheering in the stands together, it was a day full of fun, laughter, and connection. 👏👫👬👭

Today’s the day!!!!! We’re excited for our mentors and mentees to attend the Storm Hockey 🏒 game!

We’ll be leaving the school parking lot at 12:30 PM, and do a pick up at Hobby Hobby at 12:45. I sent an announcement out on the HPS app in ROOMS.
