This past Saturday, Herscher Youth Baseball played all their games on the high school turf field. A fun filled day for all teams and kids to enjoy what our community has brought to our town. Thank you for your support!

ACBA has announced the 8u pinto team that will represent the whole league at the International Baseball Classic in Marion, IL in July.

Congratulations to the 12 players who have earned a spot on this years team! Special congratulations to our very own Herscher players; Reid Carlson, Tanner Schultz and Konner Sullivan!!

Let’s go knock it out of the park in July! 💪🏼

Our ACBA league once again is taking an 8U team to the Pinto 8U International Baseball Classic July 10th - 12th in Marion Illinois.

Tryout dates: Sunday April 26th
Tryout location: Herscher
Registration begin time: 4:45
Tryout time: 5-7pm
Eligible participants: Any ACBA baseball player age 8 or younger on April 30th, 2026. ACBA playing division does not matter.
Head coach: Corey Schultz

Tryouts are being conducted early so the team can be formed, have ample practice time, and conduct a fundraiser to help offset some of the costs for the parents (hotel, etc.). This is a coach pitch tournament, so it is an adjustment for some Pinto players.

This tournament is made up of teams from Illinois and a few other states, along with many teams from foreign countries. The ACBA teams the past two years had an amazing experience and had successful trips.

Our last in person sign up last night went extremely well! We do have a couple electronic forms still out. If you have one, please return it asap so we can start maximizing our efforts to the next segment.

Yesterday’s signups went great — thank you to everyone who came out!

Our final in‑person signup will be this Wednesday from 6–8 PM at the Herscher Village Hall. If you're unable to attend, please email [email protected] to request an electronic form.

We’ve had a high number of electronic form requests. If you received a form but have not yet completed it, please do so as soon as possible.
If you are mailing in your payment, it must be postmarked by January 21st. If payment is a financial barrier for your child to participate, please reach out — we’re here to help.

A final reminder: signups close immediately after the in‑person session on Wednesday night. After that, we must turn our attention to other things like finalizing numbers with the ACBA league, drafting teams, ordering jerseys, and preparing for the season.
