The Herrin VFW softball team had a great season. The team was undefeated during the season…. They played a two day tournament with a win on the first day of 15-3….. the second night was a hot one… 92 degrees and the girls played their hearts out. The Helen Honeys team showed them what they had. It was a great night with a win of 6-5 with extra innings. Both teams played hard and fought to the end with extra innings. Great job done by both teams and great sportsmanship from the girls and all the coaches on both teams…. Congrats to the Herrin VFW for first place and to Helen Honeys for second place ….a hot night but a great one….thank you to the coaches for a great season and thank you to the coaches and girls for the beautiful card… it is awesome
