I had a very nice time meeting up with Don Volk for his 90th birthday celebration in Heron Lake Minnesota. 😊 Don and his wife Maurita as cemetery managers, were the reason I discovered where Patrick Conlan was buried along with wife Celia, son Peter and nephew Larry. Following my discovery of finding the unmarked graves of the Conlan family of Pat's Grove, successful fundraising produced grave markers for Patrick, Celia and Larry.
With these series of events, I have made good friends with Don and Maurita...some of the nicest people you could ever meet! 😊❤️

Update September 1st, 2024

I'm VERY HAPPY to report the road within the trees is fixed with a new layer of gravel and is wonderful to travel on!....
And ...our bench has been moved back to it's spot and is ready for visitors. 🥰

Pat's Grove is now open! The gravel road has been fixed to get to our Emerald Jewel wonderful park.. Cottonwood County has brought in a few loads of gravel and will be improving the road base in the next couple of months. 😊👍

But enjoy our beautiful stone house. She weathered all the rain quite well! Dry floor...YAY !

Pat's Grove is currently closed due to flooded roads by the entrance. Stay safe. Turn around...don't drown. 💧🌊
